This Privacy Policy explains how FaceMax AI: Glow Up Lab ("we," "our," or "us") handles data within the FaceMax AI: Glow Up Lab mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure user experience.

1. Photo Data and Storage

The App is designed with privacy at its core.

• AI Analysis via Server: When you perform a face scan, a resized thumbnail (max 768px) is sent to our secure backend and analyzed by Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite AI (accessed via OpenRouter, a secure API gateway, routed to Google Vertex AI infrastructure in the EU). Your full-resolution photo never leaves your device. The thumbnail is processed in real-time and not stored after the response is returned.
• No Storage: We do not store, retain, or share your face photos. Thumbnails sent to our backend are processed immediately and discarded after the response is returned.

2. Information We Process

To provide you with personalized style and grooming recommendations, we process the following data:

• Anonymous Facial Metrics: The App extracts non-identifiable, purely mathematical metrics of your facial structure (such as jawline angles, symmetry ratios, and facial width-to-height ratio).
• Processing via AI: Numeric metrics are sent to our secure backend and processed by AI to generate your report. For Premium Glow Up Plans, a face thumbnail may also be included to improve visual accuracy. No raw biometric data is retained.
• No Personal Link: This data does not contain any biometric signatures that could identify you personally and is not linked to any personal accounts.

3. Food Scanner

The App includes a food scanner feature that analyzes photos of meals for nutritional and bloating information.

• Food Photos Only: When you use the food scanner, the photo of your meal is sent to our secure backend for analysis. These photos are processed in real-time and are not stored.
• Not Linked to User: Food scan data is not linked to your identity or any personal account.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party AI services to generate face analysis reports and food analysis. Specifically, we use Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite, accessed via OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) — a secure API gateway that routes requests to Google Vertex AI infrastructure located in the European Union (EU). For every face scan, a resized thumbnail (max 768 px) and anonymous numeric facial metrics are sent for real-time processing. For Glow Up Plan generation, the same data is used to produce a personalised plan. Food scan photos are processed separately via the same pipeline. No personal identifiers, names, or account information are shared with third parties.

Before your first photo is sent for analysis, the App displays an in-app consent screen that names the third-party AI service (Google Gemini, via OpenRouter), describes what is sent, and requires you to actively check a box and tap "Agree & continue" before any photo leaves your device. You may decline, in which case the photo will not be sent and the scan will not proceed.

5. Analytics and In-App Purchases

• Analytics and App Usage: We may collect anonymous, non-identifying data regarding how you use the App (e.g., crash reports, feature usage) to improve our services. This data is not linked to your identity.
• In-App Purchases: If you purchase a Premium subscription, your payment is processed securely by Apple (App Store). We do not have access to your credit card information. We only receive a secure, anonymous token to verify your subscription status.

6. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

FaceMax AI: Glow Up Lab offers auto-renewable subscription plans (weekly, monthly, and yearly) that provide access to Premium features.

• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Billing: Your Apple ID account will be charged upon purchase confirmation and at the start of each renewal period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No Refunds: Unused portions of a free trial period, if offered, are forfeited when a subscription is purchased. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple directly.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their data.

8. GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (USA) Compliance

We take your privacy rights seriously. Here is what we store and your rights regarding that data:

• What we store: We store your anonymised scan history (numeric scores and metrics only — no photos) and your subscription status, linked to an anonymous User ID. We do not store personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or raw biometric images.
• Right to deletion: You can delete all your data at any time via the Delete Account option in the Profile tab, or by emailing us at privacy@facemaxaiapp.com. All data is permanently removed within 30 days.
• Right to access: You may request a copy of your stored data by contacting us at the email above.
• No selling of data: We do not sell your data to third parties.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
